Needle series
HK, BK, NK and NKI families for small radial envelopes.
OpenINA bearing selections for machine tools, automotive lines, packaging axes, steel mills, conveyors and service parts.
Machine-tool builders need stiff linear motion, compact radial support and predictable preload. INA linear bearings and needle roller bearing sets are reviewed against rail straightness, carriage moment load, spindle duty, lubricant condition and mounting accuracy. Where an axis sees short oscillation instead of full rotation, we flag the risk of false brinelling and recommend lubrication intervals or alternate cage styles before release.
For automotive transfer lines and packaging machines, the selection logic changes. Bearing substitutions must be available globally, documented for receiving inspection and stable across repeated purchase orders. We therefore capture preferred series, approved alternates, certificate needs and drawing notes in the RFQ record.
Steel and conveyor applications add another layer of risk because contamination, shock load and long idle periods can be more important than catalog speed. In those cases the review asks for sealing condition, relubrication access, shaft shoulder design and whether a thrust washer or hardened raceway is already present. MRO teams also receive interchange notes that separate dimensional fit from functional fit, since a bearing that shares bore and width can still fail if internal clearance, cage material or washer hardness is wrong for the duty cycle.
